St. Raymond of Peņafort Parish

As you  explore our site, you'll see that we are a vibrant and active parish.

Since our beginning, we have grown steadily and now number over 340 families. We are located on 40 acres of beautiful, rolling land that has been  owned by the church for 150 years. As a parish that primarily serves the small towns and rural areas of southern Eau Claire and northern Trempealeau counties, we place great importance on neighborliness, respect and service to others. Visitors to our parish often comment on  our relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Please make good use of our website and, if you're ever in West Central Wisconsin or Southern Eau Claire County, please stop in for a visit and a tour! We love to have guests join us for Sunday Mass and the many other activities that take place throughout the year. I trust you'll be so impressed after one visit that you'll want to come back again!

Mini Homily for January 29:
As a spiritual challenge this week, where are the areas of your life you feel are “scattered” in you?  What are the fears, anxieties, and shameful areas of your life that you feel need healing?  When you identify them, I invite you to make a good confession to allow the grace of the Sacrament to heal you and restore you to wholeness.  Someone I know who is an exorcist once said, “The most powerful prayer of exorcism is the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.”  Be freed from sin in this Sacrament of Healing and rejoice in being returned to wholeness by the love of Jesus Christ.

Mini Homily for February 5:
Do you or a loved one you know need the Sacrament of Anointing?  If so, please request the Sacrament.  It is a sacrament that, because of the old understanding of Last Rights, is often not requested for enough because it is presumed it is only meant for the moment of death.  If you are suffering from cancer, you can request the Sacrament.  If you are struggling with emotional difficulties, you can request the Sacrament.  If you are going in for major surgery, you can request the Sacrament.  And if you are aged and fear death may be coming, but is not imminent, you can request the Sacrament.  Do not fear to request the Sacrament of Anointing.  It does not mean you will die within the hour, but it means that you are struggling with a serious ailment and need Christ’s healing grace in your life.
