Minutes of the PCCW Meeting

August 13, 2009

President Donna Kuhnen called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM. A special prayer was said that came from the Prayer Service at the 75^th Diocesan meeting. The prayer had a nature theme fitting for tonight’s Potluck/Garden/Meeting. The secretary’s report was accepted as read. There was no treasurer’s report. There was no correspondence.

Old Business

At the 75h Anniversary Diocesan meeting it was decided to go from 7 commissions to three commissions. The commissions are: Spirituality, Leadership and Service.

New Business

Fall Festival

It was suggested that the PCCW put together a basket for the Silent Action at the Fall Festival. A motion was made by Margaret Julson for the PCCW to make up a basket. Roberta Kostka seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Claire Parr motioned that we spend $100.00 on the basket. Polly Cox seconded the motion. The motion was carried. Beth Salonek will put the basket together. Margaret Julson will help.

Upcoming Events

The monthly meetings will be posted 3 months in advance when possible. The upcoming meetings are as follows:

September 10^th – Fall Festival Meeting in the Library – Jeni Geisert will run the meeting as Donna will be absent.

October 8^th – Mary Geisert will run meeting – Margaret Julson will host.

November 12^th – Monthly meeting will be a desert social at the home of Beth Solenik and will be co-ed.

Other

On October 5^th a general assembly will be held at St. Patricks with Mass starting at 6:30.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 PM.
