RCIA
(Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

St. Raymond’s has an RCIA process beginning on September 30th and concluding with the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. We combine our efforts with Sacred Heart/St. Patrick’s in Eau Claire. All sessions are held on Thursdays at7:00 pm at 322 Fulton St. Eau Claire. Classes begin on September 30.

If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming Catholic, or is already baptized Catholic but needs to complete the Sacraments (namely First Eucharist and Confirmation), please contact Deacon Larry at 715-832-0925 extension 105. Or Email at: ljagema@sacredheartsaintpatrick.org

Converting to Roman Catholicism is a big decision.  With that in mind we at St. Raymond’s parish offer the RCIA as a process instead of a program.  The difference is that programs have a beginning and an ending.  Processes are ongoing and allow for participants to seek out answers to their questions without fear of failing to meet pre-set time criteria.  A good example is to have someone attend all of the class offerings from the start date until the Easter Vigil is on the horizon and deciding that the time is just not right for them to join the Church.

Therefore we offer two distinct sections to all RCIA participants.  First is the period of inquiry to learn about Catholic faith history, including the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (It takes a long time to cover over 2,000 years!) And the second is a period of illumination and discovery. Attendance at mass is encouraged for all to become acquainted with the Catholic Church.

If at any time you have questions, please call me and I will either answer the question or find someone that can.  My cell phone number is: 715-410-4229, and my E-Mail is: ljagema@sacredheartsaintpatrick.org
